Guide · For freelancers
If you're freelancing, this is probably your week.
A kickoff, a couple of syncs, a workshop, a review — everything on the calendar was put there by somebody else. None of it is the work. That's talking about the work. Here is the whole setup, step by step.

It looks like a day with room in it.
Half an hour at nine, an hour at one, a short intro call at four. That is two and a quarter hours of calls in a ten-hour day, so when a client asks whether you can take one more thing, you say yes — and you say it by looking at this.

The work has a deadline. It doesn't have a time.
Draft proposal — Northwind. Revise wireframes — Atlas. Send invoice — Helix. Hours of work, sitting in a list that has no idea how many hours are left this week. A deadline tells you when something is late, not when you're doing it.

Signing up and connecting Google are the same step.
There's no separate account to create. Google asks for four things: the list of calendars, the events on them, when you're busy, and your tasks. No Gmail, no Drive, no contacts. The boxes come up empty — they have to be ticked before anything works.
Synora only ever creates and edits its own blocks. Existing events are never modified or deleted, which is why your client calls can't be moved by it.

Give the work a due date. That's the whole habit.
No tags, no priority field, no project, no working hours to configure — hours default to 08:00–22:00 and live in Planning if you want them different. Anything without a date stays a list item and Synora leaves it alone. That part is deliberate: the list is allowed to stay a list.

That was it, really. The tasks you already had, scheduled.
A due date was the only new step. The work landed around the calls that were already there.
- The meetings you already booked did not move.
- The work has a time — not just a deadline on a list.
- You can see the day is full before the next client asks.
- Fifteen minutes sit between blocks, so one overrun doesn't take the next.

Correct a block. Don't rebuild the day.
Drag a block to a better time, or change how long it is, and Synora learns that preference for next time. Tick the task complete in Google Tasks and the matching calendar event updates on its own — it polls; it is not instant. Overnight, unfinished work rolls forward to the next day that has room. A meeting added after planning does not push existing blocks aside. You move the block if the day changed.
Client work rarely lives in one place.
Google Tasks is connected by default and is the only source you need. If the work also sits in Todoist, Trello, Linear or Notion, those connect too and their due-dated items get scheduled the same way. Extra sources follow your plan — one on Pro, unlimited on Max.

What actually changes by Friday.
Monday read as two and a quarter hours of calls. With the delivery work on it, the day was carrying five and three quarters — and you could see that before the next client asked, not after you'd already said yes. Reckon on roughly an hour a week back from planning and re-planning, because the rollover does that overnight. And the Helix invoice went out on the day it was dated instead of the following week, which is the difference between being paid in September and being paid in October.
None of that needs a new habit beyond one due date per task. The proposal also stopped being a Thursday-night job, because it had two and a quarter hours on Monday morning instead of whatever was left at the end of the week.

Client work rarely stays in one list. Pro adds one connector — Todoist, Trello, Linear or Notion — syncs every two minutes so a date you set between calls lands the same hour, and covers the extra calendars you end up with when clients share their own.

Questions
Will it overwrite a client call?
No. Synora only ever creates and edits its own blocks. Existing events stay where they are, at the length you set.
What about work I can't put a date on?
Synora only schedules tasks that carry a due date. Anything without one stays on your list, untouched, until you decide it needs a slot.
Do I set working hours before I start?
No. Hours default to 08:00–22:00. Change them in Planning if you want them different. After you connect Google, onboarding goes straight to the first due-dated task.
What if Tuesday falls apart?
Unfinished blocks roll forward overnight, so Wednesday starts from what is left rather than from a plan you stopped believing. A meeting added after planning does not push existing blocks aside.
