Synora Guide for Freelancers
Video coming.
Three clients, one calendar
Client calls are booked. Delivery work is not. The calendar looks empty because the work was never put on it.
The calendar looks empty
If you're freelancing, this is probably your week. A few calls, and a lot of white space.
You look at that white space and say yes to one more thing. It looks empty because none of the delivery work was ever put on it. Everything on that calendar was booked by somebody else.

The work has a deadline, not a time
None of those meetings is the work. That is talking about the work. The work is still on a list that has no idea how many hours are left this week.

Send invoice — Helix

Same gap, different week
Whoever emailed most recently gets the hours — not because their work matters more, but because their email arrived at 9:14.
The shape of the week changes with the work. The gap underneath does not.
- Developers — Long focus blocks, constant client messages.
- Designers — Needs three hours straight, gets twenty minutes.
- Copywriters — Writing needs a runway — every ping resets it to zero.
- Video editors — One huge block, with render time as dead time.
- Consultants — More external meetings than a freelancer — follow-up falls off the end.
- Marketers — Twelve small recurring tasks per client, every week.
