Add Google Tasks to Google Calendar automatically

2 min read

Overview

Give a Google Task a due date. Synora writes a Google Calendar event for it, fitted to the events you already have. You do not click a slot.

It looks at the open time, the task, and the events already there — then places the block.

Google Calendar can place a Task when you click an empty slot. Google documents that. Add Google Tasks to Google Calendar automatically is the other job: a due-dated item on the list, written as a block around the week you already have.

What actually happens

Connect Google. Dated tasks in Google Tasks become the source. Synora reads them and writes Google Calendar events across the next seven days, around timed and all-day events, with a 15-minute buffer between blocks. Event titles influence fit. Prep can land before a matching meeting.

You stay in Google Tasks and Google Calendar. There is no Synora app to open. You do not click a slot.

On Starter, Google Tasks is the only source. Pro and Max can add Todoist, Trello, Notion, or Linear.

What this does not do

This is not the native click-the-grid flow. A meeting added after the plan does not shove existing blocks aside. Things and Asana are not supported.

Questions

How do I add Google Tasks to Google Calendar automatically?

Connect Google, give the task a due date. Synora places a calendar event around the week you already have. You do not pick the slot.

Is this the same as dropping a Task on the Calendar grid?

No. Google places a Task when you click an empty slot. Synora places due-dated tasks without that click.

Which lists does Synora read?

Google Tasks on every plan. Todoist, Trello, Notion, or Linear on Pro and Max. Things and Asana are not supported.

Synora schedules due-dated tasks into the open slots in Google Calendar, around the meetings you already have.
